Welcome to your children's future
Weizmann's school-wide and cross-curricular technology and engineering program is dedicated to giving students the set of competencies required for full participation in a knowledge society. We focus on communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, the four 21st century learning super skills.
Coding & Digital Civics
Our students in grades K-8
Learn to employ algorithms and data structures using Blockly and then Python.
They write creative and problem-solving programs.
They use digital technology, communication tools, and networks to locate, evaluate, use and create information. They learn to manage their online identity to protect their privacy.
Electronics & Robotics
Students in grades 2 and 3 learn electronics from the ground up using Boolean logic with breadboards, resisters, transistors, capacitors, and switches.
Students in grade 4 and 5 begin by learning the mechanics of robots and create robots, kinetic sculptures, and animatronics that support Arduino, Python, and Java programming.
Middle School students use the Arduino platform to design applications, interactive controls, and adaptive environments.
Engineering and DIY
Across the curriculum students follow the engineering design process:
research and explore solutions
design and execute a plan
and revise their inventions
Our students develop a wide range of digital, woodworking, crafting, and informational skills to combine in problem-solving.
Dedicated open maker exploration periods give students time to explore their own interests and share knowledge with peers.
